You cannot and should not do it on your own. It would be best that you ask for your loved ones around you to encourage and support you throughout the process. In case you fall off the wagon and try to revert back to your old ways, then your friends and family will be there to stop you. (Or, they can help you get back on the horse until you can do it on your own). Additionally, your friends and family can join you in the intensive lifestyle changes that you go through. They could help you in different ways with exercise and eating healthy; your friends and family can even follow in your footsteps.

Give Yourself a Break

It makes sense that you do not want to fail and you want to remain consistent in your lifestyle changes. But, you should not be too hard on yourself. You should anticipate the possibility that every once in a while, you will revert back to your old ways. (This does not mean that you will go back to it forever and abandon your new lifestyle. But, in a moment of weakness, you went back to the comfort of your bad habits). This is normal and it is bound to happen. You should not let that get you down. On the contrary, you should use that as an incentive to keep going.

Set a Date for Your Goals

Set a date for your goals and for your start date. If you plan it out, then there is a better chance that you will make it happen. Set a reasonable end date to your lifestyle change, so that you do not feel pressured. Typically, there should not be an end date for your lifestyle changes.
